Developed my own watch face, works great in the CIQ but not on watch

I have developed a watch face that collects data from internet in a background process,

Running the CIQ as the same watch as my physical.

Everything works great in the simulator but when I copy the watch face to my watch I don't get any data.

Is it any permission I need to set due to that he app is not downloaded thru Garmin IQ?

Or what could be the problem?

So on the watch you see everything but what you expect to get from the background?

You need to pre-create the log file for a sideload. See https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/w/wiki/4/new-developer-faq#debugging

also makeWebRequest may not work the same on Android or iOS and…

Thanks this helped me alot. I got -400 error from the webrequest, the same that I got from the simulator.
But I think I have found a bug in the simulator

In the simulator I need to specify

:responseType => Communications.HTTP_RESPONSE_CONTENT_TYPE_TEXT_PLAIN or else I get -400 error

On the physcal clock I must specify

:responseType => Communications.HTTP_RESPONSE_CONTENT_TYPE_JSON er else I get -400 error

So something isn't well in the simulator
