Developed my own watch face, works great in the CIQ but not on watch

I have developed a watch face that collects data from internet in a background process,

Running the CIQ as the same watch as my physical.

Everything works great in the simulator but when I copy the watch face to my watch I don't get any data.

Is it any permission I need to set due to that he app is not downloaded thru Garmin IQ?

Or what could be the problem?

So on the watch you see everything but what you expect to get from the background?

You need to pre-create the log file for a sideload. See https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/w/wiki/4/new-developer-faq#debugging

also makeWebRequest may not work the same on Android or iOS and…

What do you see in the apps/log/cid_log.* files on the watch?

There is no files at all there

If your watch displays your WF, but there's no data, what watch and hove are you trying to get data? Does it display the time?

Its a instinct 3 50mm Amoled. All internal sensors are working (heartrate/steps/ stepsgoal/battery/ time/ date ) and is showing as they should and updates
I am doing a webrequest in a background process and getting data.

It is connected to the phone and connection in connect is green

It seems so. But why is it working in the CIQ (even the background process runs without any problem)
Background and Communication are in the manifest so they should work.

For the background to run you probably have registered a temporal event, How often do you have that set to run? At most it can be every 5 minutes.

Are you sure your background isn't getting any errors, say on the makeWebRequest calls?

Well it works flawlessly on the simulator with no errors.

I use System.PrintLn(data.size()); a couple of times in the updateview and it does not create a log file.

Does it need som extra developer setting on the watch when you have manually installed it thru USB?
