Monkey C for Visual Studio Extension

I am trying to set up Monkey c for Garmin in Visual Studio. I am following the instructions that say install extension Monkey C for Garmin but there are two options.

1) Monkey C Language support Garmin

2) Garmin Connect IQ Monkey C language support for VS Code.

Which one should I be choosing ?

Use 1).

1) is the official extension from Garmin that you need.

2) is an old extension from a 3rd party dev that won't help you.

If I were Garmin, I probably would've also included a link to their extension, but oh well
