Extended Code - ExcludeAnnotation needed?

Hi,

the extended code is working for devices that supports SDK8. I use functions and code for more then SDK8 devices.

Is it now needed to work with exclude annotations for extended code parts for devices that not supported extended code?

Or ignore the compiler the extended code annotation for not supported older devices?

I set it for all devices and ignore the Warning. No problems until now.

You can see it in the simulator, that if the device doesn't support it, it shows more memory used

Can you please tell me, how to declare using extended code in a CIQ datafield?

(I cannot find "extended code" in any description...)

Code in extended code space is paged in during runtime on demand. For supported devices, this provides 16 megabytes of code space beyond what is loaded into the heap. When building for supported products, the compiler will move those functions into extended code space. Code in extended code space is paged in memory using a “most recently used” strategy, but there can be a performance penalty if code must be paged in. Code that is performance-dependent should be kept out of extended code space to avoid the additional performance hit.
