epix EOL? Updates for ConnectIQ 1.3 support

Are there any plans to update epix Sw to support Connect IQ 1.3?
I see epix is quite fast (CPU benchmark is times faster than FR230, ie.), it has the same memory limits as in FR. What are the problems to update CIQ in this device?
Currently it is the last obsolete device and it stands out of the ecosystem, if you need to support a lot of devices.

I don't think the base FW on the Epix has been updated in about a year, and a FW update is how CIQ on the device is updated (that's why it's still 1.2.1 - the first version of CIQ that supported App Settings.) And even then, it's up to the Epix platform folks if they want to update CIQ.

Per what I see in the Epix forum, it doesn't look like new FW is likely to happen.

But as long as the CIQ SDK still has 1.2.x support, you can still build for the Epix. You just can't use any of the new 1.3.x/2.x functionality for the device.

As this device is labeled as Discontinued on garmin.com, and QC confirmed no updates planned for this device, we can definitely say it will be on 1.2.
And all of the issues found will never be fixed (barometer, indicator, layout, labels, issues in VM, etc..)

I omit this device from the builds. It becomes complicated to keep code for it.

Garmin issued an update for Epix.

Changes made from version 3.20 to 3.40:
Fixed issue with activity data field setup drawing the incorrect data field layout.
Fixed issue with invalid elevation data being shown for map points with no known elevation data.
Fixed issue with the screen unlocking during activities and after when lock screen was set.
Fixed issues with alarm snooze not working.
Fixed possible crash when too many Connect IQ data fields are installed.
