Best way to implement an Activation Code

Hi All,

What is the usual way to work with an activation Code on a wachface ?
I tried to get the serial number ( ESN ). I saw it in a XML file on my Fenix 3 HR device, but how can i get it programmatically ?
The ESN is displayed in the menu of my device, then i guess it would be an API function to get the ESN.

Or there is maybe a very different and better way than that.

Pleas tell me.

Hello Dom,

Thank you for reaching out. As of right now there is not a way to access a unique device ID through our API for this type of use. What I have typically seen is that the developer will code a specific app setting. Once a user provides payment for an "unlock code", then the developer will send it to them and they can "unlock" the app by applying the proper setting. It's not a perfect system yet, but it has been used with success.
