I have programmed a watchface for my forerunner 235. I have sideloaded it on my watch. It have works 1 Year, but since Jul. 2016 i cant use the watchface. I think it's because the new Developer Key Thing. In hab try to recompile my watchface. But i dont have the Developer Key Tool (like here https://developer.garmin.com/index.php/blog/post/connect-iq-2-security ). I have SDK 2.2.1 and Eclipse Neon 4.6.1. There is no Field "Developer Key" in "Preferences > Conect IQ > Compiler. How can i use my watchface? In dont want load it up to connect iq. I want only use it on my own watch.

PS: Sorry for the bad english
  • It sounds like you have an old Eclipse CIQ plugin.

In Eclipse, select the "Help" menu, and then "Check for Updates". The latest CIQ Eclipse Plugin is version 2.2.1 for both the IDE and SDK Manager.

    I have both 2.2.1
  • Ok, you need to create a key then. With the 2.2.1 plugin you should have The ability to generate or browse for a key on your computer under "Windows>Preferences>Connect IQ>Compiler"

(note: once you generate one, you want to keep using the same one to update the store, etc)

What I'd try is removing the Eclipse CIQ Plugin from Eclipse, and installing it again.

Are you on Windows or a mac?
