*.FIT playback on simulator has incorrect power values

I am developing an App which uses native power.

When using a *.FIT file that is well known to me (my run, known workout, on a track, parsed and viewed the power data and consistent with the historic relationship between power and pace for me) the power values are markedly less than those in the fit file, perhaps as low as a half.

  • I don’t know if it‘s of any help for you, but I‘m developing for bicycles and for testing on the simulator I use a own recorded fit file. The power readings are correct (but the cadence is double of the recorded values).

    You can - just for testing purpose - set sport to cyling in the simulator and see what happens.
