I used to do really basic coding in the 1980's.... I'm quite happy to get stuck in and read up and learn what to do, but before I do I'd like some advice regarding if what I want is possible!!
I have Powertap P1 pedals, and i'd like to know what the battery status is. Currently I can see this on my Edge 1000 by pulling down to get the CONNECTIONS screen, tapping on "connecting to sensors" selecting the power meter pedals in the sensor menu, tapping on "sensor details" tapping on "about" to get an about screen, which has Battery Status - I think the range here is New / Good / Low / Critical. This seems to be a combination of the power status of both pedals, even though one uses more power than the other.
As you can see thats a pain to get that info!! I know each pedal transmits via ANT+ a status of its own battery, as I can see that on the Powertap iphone APP.
What I'd like to do is create two data fields, "power battery left" and "power battery right" which I can add to any of the riding screens I need to.
This looks to me like what Connect IQ is all about, but before I wade in, can someone with experience confirm if they think its possible?
