Couldn't connect to simulator

Hi,

I recently returned to developing for my Fenix 3. I have updated my environment to sdk 2.2.1. In the past, I never had issues running the simulator. It simply refuses to connect to it. I am running Windows 8, and I can't even run the demo program.

  • Segmentation Fault in connectiq simulator

I was having a similar issue as the OP. I installed connectiq 2.2.1 on my MacOS Sierra 2012 MiniMac and it wouldn't open the simulator. Kept giving me a segmentation fault. I've switched back to 2.1.5 and it's working now. I have the latest JDK which includes the JRE version 8.
  • Hello,

I have created tickets for both of you since you are using differing environments. Are you using command line/terminal to launch the sim or Eclipse plugin?

  • @solarpreb: We believe the Mac issue has to do with an increased Gatekeeper presence in Sierra (10.12), which is causing the simulator to be quarantined in some situations. We're going to address this by issuing signed releases of the Mac simulator in future releases of the SDK.

    Hey Grzeg,

I wanted to follow back up and see if you will still having issues connecting to the sim in Windows 8. I'm having issues reproducing the issue here.

    Thanks,
    Coleman
  • I haven't been able to reproduce this and haven't heard back for a while. I'm going to close this ticket and this thread unless I hear otherwise. If you continue to have issues, please feel free to open a new thread.

    Thank you,
    -Coleman
