Connect SDK manager starts with file not found error api.db, how to solve this?

On my Windows 11 PC suddenly connect sdk manager brings up this error in a pop up message, after start:

can't open file
'C:\Users\JensMander\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\ConnectIQ\Sdks\connectiq-sd..\api.db
(error 3: System cannot find path)

Nevertheless, after closing the pop up the SDK manager seems to work.

  • The api.db file is in folder C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\ConnectIQ\Sdks\connectiq-sdk-win-8.1.0-2025-03-04-7ae1ed1cb\bin at my computer. It seems it's part of a specific version of an SDK.
    You could try to delete and reinstall that version of the SDK.
