Widget now showing up on 920XT

I have a widget I created using 2.1.5 but targeting the 1.3x SDK version. It was working fine until I updated to 8.4 on the 920XT. Now, the widget runs fine in the simulator, and I can build it and the .prg file is sitting in the Garmin/Apps folder on the watch, but it doesn't show up as a widget and the Garmin Connect app also doesn't see it.

Even if I just build the default new project as a widget (that displays the picture of the monkey) it won't show up on the watch.

Any guidance you can give on how to debug what's going on?

Hey,

It sounds like you are going through the correct process. This might sound silly and I know only from using the 920XT extensively, but have you tried power cycling the watch? Sometimes the installation of the .prg doesn't initialize if you simply exit mass storage mode.

Yes, that was it! Funny because in the past I never had to reboot the watch to pick up the new programs. So clearly something changed.

Yes, you made my day! I was searching for weeks now, why my datafield wouldn´t shop up on the 920.
Garmin should mention this somewhere, it drove me crazy!!
Especially because normally there is no reason to power off the watch...
