Notification Generation from the MonkeyC App or How to run a Monkey C WatchApp in background on watch.

We have developed a MonkeyC App (WatchApp) that generates an alert on the watch when a predefined condition based on health data is met. We have two queries that we would appreciate insights on:

We are not seeing any documentation to trigger notifications from the MonkeyC App. Is it possible to generate notifications directly from the app installed on the watch?
Since we couldn't find documentation on notifications, we integrated alerts instead. However, the alerts only appear when the app is running. When we switch to another activity, we no longer receive alerts. Is this expected behavior?

We would appreciate any guidance you can provide on these points.

You can create a background service that runs for your app (no more than every 5 minutes, and no longer than 30 seconds at a time). And with Background.requestApplicationWake let the user know

"Display a confirmation dialog requesting to launch the application to which the background task belongs."

This is the only option I know of.

Thanks Jim. Does, Background service able to collect Health Metrics data every second? Or it is not possible?

The background can run at most every 5 minutes and can run no longer than 30 seconds at a time.

You could write a watch face and look for things, but understand with a WF, it only runs once a minute most of the time, and to see any data, it must be running and visible, It could have a background service, but then it has the same 5m/30s limitation..
