Connect IQ simulator cannot be launched

Hey folks,

This is on macOS 15.2.

Here's my story:

1.  I installed (recently released) Connect IQ Beta 8.0.0 SDK and was switching back and forth between it and the latest stable version of SDK (7.4.3) - basically testing the app that I develop with the new SDK.

2. At some moment I probably downgraded VScode extension for Monkey C (that was recently updated too) to the previous version from ~6 month ago (because I started encountering some strange behavior in VScode on compiling and etc. mentioning "spawn EBADF" etc). Tbh, I can't 100% recall whether I did that before encountering the problem below, or after. I tried rebooting the Mac but that had no effect, from what I recall.

3. At the end, I got in a situation where Connect IQ simulator quits right after launching (whether manually as .app, via VS code extension or from command line via "connectiq"). It does not matter what SDK is selected, the effect is the same. Just in case, the simulator *worked* (at least I could launch it) for some time in both 8.0.0 and 7.4.3 but now it does not work with either.

I already tried erasing ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/ConnectIQ, ~/Library/Preferences/com.garmin.connectiq.simulator.plist and downloading the SDK again, rebooting and etc, to no avail.

I also tried to look for crash reports in the system/check what is logged to console log - could not see anything "suspicious". It does not seem to be crashing, at least the usual way apps crash.

I am not sure, what else I can erase in the file system to "reset the thing"?

I wonder if somebody can give me a hint?

Regards,
Grigorii
