Hello,

I would like to test my WatchFace in action during the day before I submit it for uploading to the store.

So how do I upload an app to my device without having to submit it through the ConnectIQ submission process.

Ive built the prg and put it the Garmin/App folder but with no luck. I can see my WatchFace in the settings for it but when i go back to the watch face it doesnt work. Am I missing a step somewhere to make this work?

No, your not missing a step. The way you describe it sound good. Just make sure you build it for the correct type of device.

If there's a bug in the face, that prevents it from loading, then you get the default face. You can try loading one of the examples to your watch, to make sure your method is correct.

Ive tried installing the Analog demo with no luck. I added "<iq: product id="fr920xt"/>" (without the space between : and p since its auto converting that to a smiley) into products in the manifest in order for it to let me select the build target, I then used the eclipse build project for device forerunner 920 xt, then copied the created prg to the device into the Garmin/Apps folder. I run into the same issue where I can select the Analog watch face from settings but when i back out to see the watch face it still shows the default watch face. I've got the build to run on the simulator but cant get it to work on my watch successfully.

I am using a Mac on OS X version 10.10.2, eclipse Version: Luna Service Release 1a (4.4.1), and my garmin 920xt is on version 2.70. Ive also attached a link to the zip of the file in case i for some reason have an out of date version of the sample!

Any help would be greatly appreciated from here!

  • I downloaded your data, opened in eclipse, created analog.prg, uploaded to watch and everything works. Perhaps there is an error in your watch.
