Eclipse Plug-in Version 2.2.1

Some recent server changes caused the SDK Manager in Eclipse to no longer display any available SDKs for download, and it would not allow you to switch between already downloaded SDK versions.

This afternoon, we released v2.2.1 of the plug-in, which has some tweaks to address this problem. As a preventative measure, we've also added a new feature that will track available SDKs locally so the SDK Manager will continue to function even if there are server or connectivity issues.

This update is recommended for everyone that uses Eclipse as their Connect IQ development environment. To update the plug-in, go to the Help menu in Eclipse and choose Check for Updates.

Thanks,

- The Connect IQ Team
  • Attempts to download the 2.2.1 plugin via the "Check For Updates" gives me an error:

Missing requirement: Connect IQ 2.2.1 (IQ_IDE 2.2.1) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.core.expressions 3.5.0' but it could not be found

    I'm running
Version: Luna Service Release 2 (4.4.2)
    Build id: 20150219-0600

The updates gives me no info about being able to update Luna... am I missing something here?
  • You'll have to switch to a more recent of Eclipse.

The programmer's guide indicates that you need Mars or newer. You can see that here. I'm using Eclipse Neon without any problems.
  • Thank you for the fixes. With eclipse neon it works as it should.
