app deployed not working how to debug

Hi,
I submit my app (data field), then after having downloaded it on my watch, I try to set up a data field, and it didn't want to save it.
He puts me always the Chrono data field.

How to debug it, because when I was copying my file on the app folder, this was working, and when I execute it in the simulator, this was working too.

Rgds,
  • The checkbox just controls whether or not debug symbols are available. If you want to upload your app for testing, but do not want others to be able to download it, put the string DO NOT APPROVE in the app name field when you upload the app. If it has already been uploaded, you have two choices. You can delete the app from the App Store, or you can update the app name (as described above) and send an email to [email protected] asking that the app be rejected temporarily while you fix it.

the 'DO NOT APPROVE' must be the name of the app (in the 2nd time of the upload, the first being the choice of the path of the .iq file and the version of the app) ?

By doing this : will the last version of the app will be still available for the others ?

Yes, when you submit an app you are prompted for the app Title on the second page. Include the string DO NOT APPROVE in that field.

    Maybe this will help...

Have you uploaded the app to the app store?
If No, upload your app to the app store. When prompted for the Title, include the string DO NOT APPROVE. After you've finished the app submit process, you'll find that your app will appear the list of apps that you've uploaded, but it will not be available for others to download. When you believe that your app is ready for the world, return to the app store and remove DO NOT APPROVE from the app title. It will get approved after a few days.

So, you've already uploaded the app to the app store. Has the app been approved?
If No, return to the app store and add DO NOT APPROVE to the app title. Your app will continue to appear in the list of apps that you've uploaded, but should not appear in the list of apps for all other users. When you believe that your app is ready for the world, return to the app store and remove DO NOT APPROVE from the app title. It will get approved after a few days.

So, your app has been approved, the world has started downloading it, but it is broken. Do you have access to, or can you build, a known working version of the app?
If Yes, upload the old version of the code as if it was an update to the app; increment the version number as required. People will be notified an update is available, and when they update they'll get the working version.

You appear to have some functionality that is not working that you'll want to test further. You can do so by making a new app (or just update the UUID in the manifest file) then starting again at the first question in this walkthrough. Once you've got that app working, you can make the appropriate changes to the code in the old project, and then delete the app that was never approved from the app store.

So, you don't have access to or cannot build a working version of your app.
    You have two options here.

You can delete the app from the app store entirely. This is an immediate fix. No users will be able to download the app until you upload it again, but you will lose all of the download history for your app.

If you don't want to lose your app history, you can send an e-mail to [email protected] and request that your app be rejected. This will remove it from view of other users, but will leave it available for you to download, update and test. You can put DO NOT APPROVE into the app title to help keep things straight in your head, but I do not believe this is necessary. When you are ready to have the app approved, you'll have to send another e-mail asking that it be approved. If you updated the title, you should fix that as well.

Many thanks Travis for this detailed way to do it.
I like the "the world has started downloading it" :)

Finally I do it with the usb cable (I know now, that I must have it always with me), and this was easier, and I saw my exception directly in the log.

    Thanks again.
