Fit Contributor datafield not working on Fenix3

Garmin:

I'm using the FitContributor to write out summary values and a graph to Garmin Connect/GCM. It works on the simulator and monkeygraph for all devices with minSDKversion 1.3.0 and it works on my 920XT:

I'm having reports that it is not working on a Fenix3 and a Fenix3 HR:

This is impossible for me to debug on devices I don't own when it works on the simulator - should it work, and any ideas why it wouldn't work on the F3's? Hopefully it is something I am doing wrong. I can post some code, or send it if needed, but perhaps someone can test it out...

    Yes, it definitely does not work. This is the buggiest feature I've seen. Stuff like this should not be released until it is a little solid.

    I'm writing a WatchApp for the fenix 3 (Not a datafield). I have a RECORD field and a SESSION field. I've uploaded the App to the store as required. MonkeyGraph shows both fields perfectly but they NEVER EVER show up on GC or GCM. I have played around countless hours with endless permultations of doing things to no avail. So yes, I'm 100% convinced that this feature is busted, at least for the Fenix 3.

    The best thing that Garmin can do is put an app on the store that actually works on all supported devices and make the code available. Users can then download the app to verify that it works and then take the code and copy it to their own apps.

    Thank you very much for the reply Jesus_Arango! I can stop wasting my time now since it seems like a common issue.

    Now if only Garmin would reply that they are looking into this...helloooooo ?

    We are looking into this. :)

    There are a handful of Fit contributor issues that appear to be interrelated, but it's not very clear at this point. From what I know, the CIQ pieces are solid, but Garmin Connect may have some bugs, and apparently there may be some device integration issues that may also come into play.

    Looking forward to a fix for the F3... I use the Surf Tracker Datafield for downwind Surfski Paddling and the stats and graph on GC would be seriously useful.

    Hello All,

    I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for being so patient. I also wanted to give you an update. Though there isn't a current "fix" in place. We are gaining a bit more traction with the appropriate teams as we have more reports of issues concerning fit contributor. I still don't have an official ETA, but hope that that serves a s reminder that we are here, we hear, and we are doing everything we can to get all of the fit contributions operational.

    SurfTracker Datafield Activity in Garmin Connect

    Hello, any advance on this matter? I am another surf tracker datafield user with Fenix 3 and it would be very useful to have this issue resolved asap.

    Hi all, I do appologize (I am not developer myself, just a Garmin Fenix 3 user) and in recent Stryd forum (http://club.stryd.com/t/connect-iq-data-field/2578) great people there seems to find out the reason for this issue - something wrong on Fenix 3 fit file is preventing to show all IQ data in Garmin Connect. Confirmation that this is only related to some Fenix 3 (early SN) is that once fit data is adjusted - device modified (Fenix 3 is changed to Fenix 3HR) suddenly all IQ data are shown in GC. Is anyone from GC team monitoring this thread and if so is there anything what can be done ? Fix seems to be simple, but I believe it must be done om GC side. Thanks!
