Feature request: SDK access to step streak

Wouldn't it be time we also get access to the step streak?

With using the Garmin watch as a 'keep fit' device (why otherwise should we keep track of steps/day and a daily step goal?) IMHO keeping a step streak (= the number of days your steps exceeded the daily step goal) is an extra incentive to keep fit.

The step streak is only shown in the steps-glance (2nd page), but not accessible anywhere in the SDK. It is also not anywhere shown in the mobile app!

For me it only shows "Daily goal"

Dumb question but do you have an active streak (of more than 1 day)?

I only see the streak "badge" when I'm on a streak. (Sadly I'm not rn.)

If you're on a streak and you're not seeing your streak badge in the app, it might be a bug.

My current streak is 2 days (shame on me). Today I reached my goal, so IDK what is says otherwise.

I just found a way to view the current streak in the mobile app: Go to the week/month/year view and click on "personal records". There is 1 hidden record: the current streak .....

Hmm good point. I do think you should see the badge as well (like the reddit screenshot). I'll start up a new streak and get back to you in a couple of days haha.

But back to the Feature Request: I would like to have it as a number on my watch face, but it is not accessible in the SDK (for all I know it is just a simple number ... Shouldn't be too hard to add it to the SDK).

Adding it in the SDK doesn't mean it will be available on all devices, even if it's approved. Some rarely, if ever, get FW updates anymore.

What you can do today, for devices with touch and complications, is add an "onPress" to your watch face that opens the steps widget, giving quick and easy access to see everything in that widget
