What is the number displayed on the app page? Is it number of unique users? Number of downloads? Does it include redownloads, multiple devices, updates?

As a developer, I would like to know how many new users I have this month and how many new users I have since app first version, is it possible to get this information?

As far as I can tell, historically the "main download count" (for lack of a better term) has been the number of installs (not updates), and I don't have any reason to think that's changed.

Previously, the main download count was displayed unrounded on the Connect IQ store website, making it very easy to see how it changed over time. Additionally, there used to be stats which showed downloads over time. which apparently included both installs and updates. Every time a new version was released, there would be a spike in the graph of downloads over time (suggesting that it includes updates), while the main download count would not spike in the same manner, which suggested that the main download count referred to installs and not updates.
