Edge 520 and 1000 Lap Banner

On the Edge 520 and 1000 Apps, when a lap is added, it shows the native lap banner.

My understanding was that the intended functionality is to NOT have the native lap banner appear. This is how it works on all of the non-Edge devices.

I have a home rolled lap banner on my apps so I'm getting 2 lap banners showing.

Same here (I only have a 520). I passed this one on to Garmin too (a couple weeks back).

With the watches, this also happened with some of the early firmware (more than 12 months back), so hopefully it will change. I do my own lap banner, and did it in such a way that my screen and the native one are both visible and are readable.

Bump - Just got a user complaint on this.

Several FW versions have come and gone on both the 520 and 1000 and this bug is still present.

Is the plan to leave it as it is or to make the Edges consistent with the other devices? What is the timeline for a fix?
