BLE example compatible with recent versions of Connect IQ

The samples, and my own apps, all work with the SDKs including the latest, the 7.3.0 SDK.  You may need to turn off type checking, by adding

project.typecheck=0

to the monkey.jungle file for the app

What errors do you see?

There does seem to be an issue with bonding in the sim (isBonded, etc) but those works on real devices, and the samples don't use them last I looked.

Can you send me the sample repository that you are using ? I found this example https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/b/news-announcements/posts/would-you-like-some-raspberry-pi-with-your-connect-iq but I'm not able to make it works so I would prefer a basic sample to have a clear starting point.

Thanks, I will test it. I didn't know about the project.typecheck=0, I had to do few changes and cast to make it compile but I think I broke few things the way.

Unless you have a pi that's running the proper software, you'll only get to the point where scanning runs.  It will never find the pi.

With the nordic thing52 sample, in ThingyDelegate,mc, if you add this line to the contains function, you'll see the UUID for all ble devices in range and advertising

In which application is the ThingyDelegate.mc ? It's not in one of the two example ?

The NordicThingy52 in the SDK

With VSC, and the command palette, just do Monkey C: Open Samples Folder.  The samples folder is right under the root of each SDK.

I have followed this documentation: https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/core-topics/bluetooth-low-energy/ to connect the nrf52 DK and installed this https://developer.garmin.com/downloads/connect-iq/connectivity_2.0.1_115k2_with_s132_5.0.zip

I was able to program the board with the GUI application nrf with the hex from the documentation.

I have setup the connection with the simulator

When I run the NordicThingy52 from the SDK sample I have this screen:

I'm not able to scan the NRF52 DK with a phone, do you have any idea ?

Long press the middle left button and you'll get a menu.  Select "start scanning"

I tried to check for new bluetooth devices with the bluetooth menu from my phone and with nrfconnect Android app.
