Why I can't find my watchface app in any category by browsing?

well, at least it appeared on Utility today.

Also, I can't find my NEW watchface app in a NEW APPS category.

But for sure I can find HUNDREDS of SCAM and spam clones of users like cczz, IoFace, SunVenus and others. They are pushing a lot of watchfaces with background or typeface difference.

Why these spammers can publish almost unlimited amount of watchfaces clones? Where are the limits? I can find 10 spammers in 5 minutes, why Garmin can't block them for misusing the store?

And what are the criteria to get displayed in top Recommended section?

I've reported many of these watch faces as Spam. Unfortunately Garmin staff disagrees with me and rejected my reports without doing anything.

No response from Garmin. They don't seem to realize that the CIQ store has turned into a dumpster and haven't shown any interest in cleaning it up.

This has come up many times before.

Seems the ranking in categories is based on things like downloads, reviews and views. There have never been any limits on how many apps a single dev can put in the store (I have about 50 myself over the last 9 years), what may be a clone of others by the same dev, etc. Things have been suggested like being able to hide "paid" apps..

Even if the apps you mentioned all went away, when you click on "More", you only see the first "x" apps in that category, which is likely only small subset of apps in that category. You can see this in categories where you don't see watch faces (where you see the most clones). I've never seen some of my non-watch face apps in their categories.

Everyone wants their apps to be "seen", and there could be thousands in the same category as yours..

It's sad, because it lowers quality of the store itself a lot.

Also, it lowers users trust to Garmin ecosystem. Don't they see this?

There should be some limits for publishing.

Again, don't just think watch faces. There could be thousands of data fields in a given category. In some cases the dev could have a number of clones (even named as such), but there is a reason behind that. A user may use "clone 1" and "clone 2" in the same activity to display different data, and then use "clone 3" and "clone 4" in a different activity, for data more important to that sport.

I understand that not finding their apps could be frustrating to new developers, but think how a long term developer would feel if their popular apps got bumped from the top of a category to make room for something new. Would that be fair? They earned their place over time.

Watch faces are the worst, as you have one dev posting a whole bunch of clones at about the same time, but in the same way, it can be hard to find some non-watch face apps with 100k downloads, just due to the total number of apps in that category

Same problem here with my only 'fav' watchface. Tried changing categories but still can't find it. How did you finally resolve this?

For Garmin it would really help if the category names in the selection box would match the store display names.
