Hello, I'm having trouble uploading a beta connect iq application to Connect IQ Store since July 26th.

I cannot upload my app.

Am I the only one having this server connection error right now?

Is garmin server is on development or update process?

If it is, when can I upload my app?

Of course, my internet works well and I didn't miss any required inputs.

I tried at my work and my home. In both cases, I couldn't succed.

I also tried to check the developer dashboard if my app is already in the status of "pending".

But the account i'm trying to uplaod the app is new account. So, I cannot access the developer dashboard yet.

(I need to upload the first app to get into the developer dashboard.)

What can I do to solve this problem?

Thank you for reading my question.

  • How big is your iq file? in the past, very large ones had problems.

    In your app description don't have anything like emojis.  Just flat text.

  • I didn't use any emojis. Just flat text.

    And my iq file is 350KB.

    (I once succeded upload and installation with another account. Now I want to try with a new account and new watch. Same code but differeent App UUID).

  • You know you don't have to create a new account every time you have a new watch? Just make a new build (with the same app uuid) that includes your new watch as well and upload it to the same account. Unless we're talking about beta app and the two watch is used by 2 different people.

  • Actually, it’s two watch used by 2 different people.

    i’m collecting data from some people for research.

  • what device is it supporting?

  • Currently targetting Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 255S.
    i built the application with these devices:

    <iq:product id="fr255"/>
    <iq:product id="fr255m"/>
    <iq:product id="fr255s"/>
    <iq:product id="fr255sm"/>
    <iq:product id="fr55"/>
  • I don't know why, but I solved this.

    I copied and pasted the description from my comment page. I typed the description manually and tried again.

    Then it worked. Maybe there was a special text or symbol that I couldn't see.

    Thank you so much for your help.

  • More probably there was a temporary bug in the website

  • I'm currently experiencing the same problem. Attaching the iq file works fine, but when I submit the app I get that message.
    It's been like this for the past 4 days.
    I've tried with several .iq files with various sizes. I've also tried minimal description as I read elsewhere certain characters may be the problem.
    I've tried in three browsers (chrome, firefox and Edge). All to no avail.

    Is it just me?

  • Browser doesn't matter. It can be caused by an "invalid" character somewhere, by some strange Garmin compiler or validator bug (I have an app that I can publish with 127 devices, but when I add edge1050 then the store rejects it. My other apps work with edge1050 so it's some special combination of part of my code, the device , the compiler (bug?), the validator (bug?), unluck
