[Visual Studio Code] Watchface - Font updates: simulator vs build

Which watch?  The graphics pool is probably involved.  Try power cycling the watch.

My watch is the Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar.
I am using Connect IQ 4.2.4.

Update:
I copied and renamed the .fnt files and updated the fonts.xml accordingly.
The build worked...
So my 2 cent assumption is that the fonts.xml must be modifified otherwise the fonts are not updated.

Have you tried a power cycle of the watch?  That watch has the graphics pool.

Sorry but I am not an expert and I do not know what is "a power cycle of the watch".

He means turning it off and on.

- Hold LIGHT for 15 seconds (or until the watch turns off)

- Hold LIGHT for a second or two to turn it on

Go to controls (just press the light button to see them) and select the power button.  This turns off the watch.  Then press the light button again, to turn it back on.

Are you 100% sure you're seeing the new app? I usually have some version being displayed, so that after updating (side loading or beta app in the store) I can be sure that it was really updated. To me it sounds like you are still seeing the old version. I don't know why and how to fix it, but 1st step I would do is do some obvious change, and if I don't see it then it's obvious that you haven't really installed the new version.

I've seen this myself on devices with the graphics pool and a custom font.  That's why I asked which device.

The original app loads it fonts (they are in the graphics pool).  The app gets updated with changes to the same font. but since the font is already in the graphics pool, the new font doesn't get loaded, so it looks like nothing changed. But turning the watch off and on, clears the graphics pool, so the new font is used.
