Need help displaying Parkrun Barcode

I have all my details saved in Garmin Connect. The menu on my Garmin Forerunner 935 correctly shows the Parkrun Barcode as a menu item, and it is at the top of the list.

But, no matter what button I press from this point I cannot get my watch to display the barcode details. The YouTube demo show someone pressing the 'back' button, which then displays an 'edit' menu and then goes on to display barcode details.

At this same point, my watch displays Reorder (start/stop button) or widgets (back button)

Attached pic shows the demo transitioning from the parkrun barcode menu item to an edit menu item by pressing the back button, as mentioned.

I don't know what else I can try.

However, I do not see the 'edit' button, the menu just going from one thing to another and never displays the details saved in

  • After you have installed the widget, from the watch face, press the up button and the widget should be displayed. Then press the top right enter button to start the widget.

The section in the YouTube video you show is where the user was moving the widget to the top of the list. If you have done this, then from the watch face press the down button instead to display the widget.

The widgets are in a loop, so you can cycle through them all using the up or down buttons from the watch face. Just keep pressing up or down until you scroll through them all. You should eventually find it.

It sounds like you are not pressing the top right start button to start the widget once you have scrolled to it from the watch face?

  • I have the same problem. I'm grateful to gasteropod for replying but that has not helped. The top right "start" button does not start the widget. It just brings up the option to Reorder or Remove.

  • It sounds like you are in the settings menu, not the widget loop.

Go back to the watch face and use the up/down buttons or swipe on touch watches to scroll through the widget glances until you find the barcode one. The start button should then start the app/widget.

  • Brilliant! That's it. Thanks gasteropod.

FWIW; I am also using a Forerunner 935.
