Glance: how to deal with System 3 devices

Hi,

I have a widget-type app with a glance and would like to make it available also for System 3 devices, which do not support glances.

Right now I get a lot of compiler warnings that the (:glance) annotation is not supported and will be ignored. Right now I am just ignoring the warnings, but is there a better way that avoids the warnings?

When an app is compiled, the resource part of the compiler converts images to a format usable on the watch. The same basic thing happens with makeImageRequest where the image is converted by way of a garmin server.

Remember, drawBitmap2 is only for devices with a GPU (CIQ 4 or greater)

Things I learned 9+ years ago with MIP displays

-red text on a back backround is really hard to see.

-The colors you see in the sim don't look the same on a MIP display

If you support devices with a MIP, display but don't have one, see if you can borrow a device from a friend or pick up one cheap on ebay or something

MIP and AMOLED are very different when it comes to how things look.

In my case I use only black and white icons, so I don‘t have to worry about that.
