Apps disappeared from store

6 watch faces disappeared form store after update, I have re uploaded even with previous approved versions and Garmin send me this email

  • , we've reactivated your apps and are looking into the cause of their rejection. Do you know if you did anything on the Edit App page after uploading, such as checking the Payment Required check box?

  • no what I did is upgrade to sdk 7 and back to sdk 6.4

  • the apps are now approved but can not be updaated and don't show on mobile store

  • can you check what's going on? I uploaded version 2.5.0 of ANT+ HRM https://apps.garmin.com/apps/7c83d402-4b68-4f0a-b167-7139788a19b3 2 days ago. It doesn't show any popup (like wait up-to 3 hours), nor did I receive any emails. Uploaded the same version with different version number, then a new build, but nothing fixed it. Now when I am logged in to the store I do see the latest uploaded version, but when I'm not logged in I still see version 2.4.0. Search doesn't find it, neither is it in the Sensor category (where it was the 1st app for a long time). It totally disappeared from the store. I can also see now that there were 0 downloads in the past 24 hours.

    For what it's worth, search finds it for me, as does the direct link. Also the "What's new" section says "2.5.0 (2024-07-12)", but over on the right, the latest release is still shown as 2.4.0, with release date Mar 27, 2024. And I was able to install it - but as expected got version 2.4.0.

  • When you submit a new app that uses ANT, the ANT group needs to do a check in addition to what the CIQ group does.

    Could it be the same when you update an app that uses ANT?  I think that would be the case.  Maybe you didn't notice it before, but now it's the weekend?

    What you are seeing is like when I update a non-ANT app and waiting the hour or two, but with ANT, it takes longer.

  • No, it's not the case. It never happened in the last 27 updates, only when I uploaded version 1

  • What did you search for and where (web/ConnectIQ/GE/other?)

    When I search in Connect IQ (which I think is the main place users search, and I'm pretty sure now, because I can see that before I uploaded the new version I had 300+ daily downloads, and in the last 3 days it went down to 240, 6, 2 which proves that 99.9% of the users search in Connect IQ)

    I see now that in the web it still finds it, but the - strangely different - api that Connect IQ uses doesn't find it, nor has it listed under the Sensors and Displays category (which probably was where 90% of the users found it)

    As for the What's new: it's a text that I can still edit, similar to the description. A few minutes after I edit it it becomes visible to users. I updated it right after I uploaded version 2.5.0. But as you already understood that doesn't really matter, because the version that is published in the store is still 2.4.0.

    I am the only person, when logged in to the developer dashboard, who sees the new version, however contrary to how it usually behaves (when a few minutes after uploading a new version I could click on Download, then sync in GC, then either see the new version is already installed in ConnectIQ or it's upgradable) no matter how I try even I only see the version 2.4.0 in Connect IQ and on my watch.

    I haven't test it in Garmin Express.

    But I agree this is an important piece of information for and  : 

    1. on the web search still works, app is listed under Sensors category 

    2. in Connect IQ app search ("ANT") doesn't find it, nor is the app listed under Sensors

    3. looking in the store (i.e following the link: https://apps.garmin.com/apps/7c83d402-4b68-4f0a-b167-7139788a19b3) it's still the version 2.4.0 instead of the latest upload (2.5.0.2)

  • What did you search for and where

    ANT+HRM, on the web found it (it was the first thing listed). When I try the app, I get a server connection error when I enter "ANT+HRM". I think the search box doesn't like the "+" - even though it works on the web.

    But "Ant HRM" finds it on the web, and finds lots of other things in the app, but not yours.
