Watch-Face Upload not possible - server error (since over 1 week)

Hi guys,

I developed my first watch-face and I was really excited to upload it to the store.
Though I prepared everything really good, I got a server error:

"Sorry, your message couldn’t be submitted because we’re having trouble communicating with our servers. Please try again later."

After trying again after a few hours, a day later and also 2 days later, I started to search the internet for solutions.
I also came across this forum where there were suggestions to change the network to a very fast one, try different browsers, delete cache, ....

After trying for over a week with multiple networks, devices, browsers, ... I have no clue what could be the problem.
I also wrote a mail to the dev-support but I do not get a response since almost a week.

Does anyone of you have a clue what could be the problem?

I would be very thankful for any hints!

Have a nice day, guys! :-)

  • The problem is most probably not in anything you can improve. It's basically a matter of luck. Maybe the Garmin server is down for a few days...

  • I can't upload new / updated watch faces from home, as I presume my internet download and upload (most likely upload) speed is not good enough, but when I try from elsewhere I have 99% success.

As you have tried elsewhere, I'm guessing the issue is the lack of real error notices from the new website i.e. they are all put under one error message.

One issue I think new developers have previously been caught out on is having the System Previews checked in the manifest when you do the build, another could be an already used UUID (so might be worth regenerating that).

One thing to try, albeit a tedious one, is build it for one watch only (the watch you have?) and try again, if it works then add 5 / 10 / 15 more watches and upload an update.

    Good luck

  • Thanks so much! What do you mean with system previews checked in? I don't see an option there in the Manifest file.

  • in the list of devices there are 3 or 4 that have "Preview" in their name. Make sure they're not included
