How to force app to stay active?

Hi,

I have a Garmin Forerunner 965 and always-on is disabled. When I'm starting my app and I put my wrist down the screen turns black.

How can I do to force the screen to stay active when my app is running?

There are two settings for AOD - one for general use, one during activities.

Setting>System>Display>During Activities - AOD=on.

Thanks, AOD is already on for activities.

I guess my app must record an activity to benefit from "Activities AOD", right?

I think that's the case, but turning AOD on for general use should work.

Yes, of course turning AOD on for general would work but I just want my app to work like the default Workout app provided by Garmin.

That records an activity, correct? (I've not used it).

A CIQ app that records an Activity, with AOD=True for "During Activity", also stays on all the time,

Currently my app does not record an activity, but I'll implement this feature.
