how can I restart the app in the simulator after I push the back button?

I am a beginner, when I run my project on the simulator, sometimes I need to exit the app and go back to the main screen, for example ,to test background service or set the properties, and I don't know how to return to app after I have exit on the simulator. Can anyone tell me? thanks a lot!.

He means just re-run the app in VS Code. i.e. Press F5 or whatever you normally do to run your app (your workflow may be different if you have multiple projects in your workspace.)

I don't think you'll see the green circular arrow in your case, because you only see the UI in the screenshot when the app is still running.

TL;DR once your app exits, there's no way to restart it in the simulator, you have to restart it from VS Code.
