Face-It!

Thought some of you might be interested to learn about this:

This morning we announced Face-It™, a watch face app that lets Connect IQ™ compatible wearable users customize their watch face with any photo from their mobile device. Users simply download the free app from either the App Store℠ or on Google Play™, then select an image from their photo library, choose their clock style and send it wirelessly to their device for a completely customized watch face.

The Face-It app can create custom watch faces for the following Connect IQ compatible wearables: fēnix® 3, fēnix 3 HR, vívoactive®, vívoactive HR, Forerunner® 230, Forerunner 235, Forerunner 630, Forerunner 735XT, Forerunner 920XT, D2™ Bravo, D2 Bravo Titanium, epix™, quatix® 3 and tactix® Bravo.

I was actually thinking about this as a fun idea to build, but was going to build it as a server-side service. Glad I hadn't started it yet. ;)

I was hoping for the analogue watch face with seconds hand always active for FR230 like it is on Fenix 3, but alas although it's actually almost native Garmin app, resulting watch face is still considered an "IQ application" meaning it goes to and from low-power mode eliminating the seconds hand most of the time effectively... Also it takes a lot of time to redraw during standard slide-in and out animations. So, I'd say, it was a nice try, but unfortunately not living up to the expectations at least for the budget Garmin watches.

I know this thread is super old, but I thought I'd post here before creating a new thread... I'm sure the answer is "no", but is it possible to share watch faces that you create through "Face-It"? (If not, that would be great for a future update...) Thanks!

How do I switch back to the base watch face from Face It?

Depends a bit on the device, but most devices you hold the menu key, select Watch Face, pick a new watch face, and press select/enter to apply.
