When some error appears last app settings changes aren't saved.
Looks like that settings save into file system only after successful application exit.

This is functioning as designed.
If the application workarea has crashed, we cannot guarantee that it is safe to use it for saving out application settings. No further operations occur within the app after a crash has occurred.
