"manifest-appid" Discrepancy Announcement

Hello all. As many of you may know. There has been an issue with updated apps due to a discrepancy in the manifest-appids. Our app store team has been made aware of the issue and have a plan in place to correct it moving forward. As a temporary measure we have deactivated the manifest-appid check until the fix is applied. This is already deployed on the production site so you are free to update. I will be providing a link to this announcement as I see this issue in other threads.

I already got the new Ids, changed them in my apps and uploaded new versions.

I have to worry about that? will I have to revert to the originals?
What if I used and ID from a sample and someone else used the same ID. What will happen?

I am asking this questions cause I believe you will have to consider this in your solution, just to avoid the same issue again.

What if we could see the assigned ids somewhere, maybe that stats tab in the store could be upgraded to be a general dev info tab.

Just encountered this when trying to update one of my apps today. 100% sure the appid has not actually been changed in my manifest file. Any help on how to proceed appreciated. Here is a link to the subject app https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/5f064563-a5fb-42d6-9ed6-6e478df683ba

In the app store for your app, if you click on "Edit Details" it will show you the Manifest ID that the App store thinks is the one for your app. Make sure it does match what's in your manifest.xml file.
