PRG gets deleted from device

Hi everyone,

I followed the advice https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?339891-New-Developer-FAQ to copy my PRG (which is only the SimpleDataField sample Data Field) to my connected Forerunner 235. But:

* Every time I want to set it as Data Field I can not find it anywhere
* When reconnecting the device as Mass Storage, the PRG is deleted?

I am using the 1.2.11 SDK with the latest Eclipse plugin. My device is running version 5.20.

Can someone help?

This is covered in the App Signing and Security thread in this forum.

Some folks are expecting apps built with 1.2.9 to side load to beta firmware. This will not work--the firmware is expecting signed apps, and 1.2.9 does not have the capability of signing apps. If you plan to wait until the official 2.1.x release and would rather work with 1.2.9 for now, do not use beta firmware on your device.

As a footnote to what Travis said, if you look on your watch in the \garmin\apps\logs\ciq_log.txt file, you'll see a message about the signing error...

That file tells you about odd things that happen with your app, be it signing or just a "IQ!" crash...
