My data field uses the standard Weather interface. It generally works really well. But the selection of which WX Station to use is automatic and seems to try to select the closest one, dynamically.
On today's ride, at one point it selected Titusville, FL, maybe 30 miles to the East right on the Atlantic Ocean coast. I was 30 miles inland and maybe 31 miles from the Orlando airport, so it flipped over to using Titusville. But the inland airport weather was probably a better representation than a station right on the coast.
A user setting to allow someone to lock to a specific weather station when doing local rides, would be nice.
Is that possible?
