App-ID deviates from original? (UUID not changed from 1 year ago!)

I'm not sure how come I'm getting this error in my updated app.

The app-id within the manifest-file deviates from the one originally registered for this app.

I presume that this means the UUID which is in the manifest.xml file?

I've even tried uploading versions from 1 year ago (same UUID) and it still doesn't want to accept it.

I'm basically just changed to the newest SDK 2.1.2 (prev was on 1.2.x) and did some changes to the basecode to reflect the onStart() which needs the dummy argument.

Need to get a clue from here.

I already answered in my original post, but I am duplicating my answer here.

Do not despair it is possible to solve the issue, but you will have to wait someone from Garmin staff to help you.
There is nothing you can do by yourself to fix it.

I did manage to update another app but not this curent one.

Yup.. I've responded and need help. The barrage of negative emails and ratings have started.
Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it. All these frustrations.

Just got the same error trying to update my app. Sent e-mail with the app id from manifest file and market link to [EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected][/EMAIL]. Are there any other actions for me or should I just wait until Garmin guys send me another ID and fix it in market?

It's a sad thing that these problems persist over years...

Yep this happened to me. I had two clones of the same app with 2 different IDs, then when I tried to update both, the first one succeeded and the second one somehow assumed the ID of the first one.

It's possible I did something to trigger the bug, but once it happened, I couldn't fix it.

I ended up removing the broken app and resubmitting it. Had to wait a day and a half, but it was better than having two conflicting apps in the store at the same time.
