Can anyone at Garmin tell me if the D2 Bravo will be getting the update to CIQ 1.3? I realize that Biker 2.1 isn't possible due to hardware limitations but I would love to see 1.3 on the the pilot version.
It doesn't matter if there is 1.3 or not. What is important is what really is supported in a device.
There is 1.3.1 for fenix3 but no support for things marked "since 1.2.10" in SDK.
The D2 devices are on a delayed firmware release schedule compared to the other devices in the fenix 3 family. Since it's an aviation device, there are higher standards against which its held, so it takes more time for testing and verification. I do believe that we intend to make the 1.3 VM available for the D2 Bravo, however. Unfortunately, I don't have any definite information available about this.

Yes, I have learned to be patient with respect to the D2 Bravo releases, and control my anxiety by looking at what has been changed in the fenix 3 betas, knowing that a good chunk of those will eventually show up in the D2B. :)
As long as you're pretty sure that the 1.3 VM is planned and somewhere in the queue, that's good enough for me. Otherwise I'm going to have to figure out how to hack my D2 Bravo into a fenix 3. Ha!
