Fenix 7s can't install spotify, says I have to update in Garmin Express, Garmin Express shows up to date software version 11.32

I just got a new Fenix 7s Solar today and I am trying to add the spotify app through the garmin connect app. It does not let me install spotify, saying "in order to get the latest version of this app, you must update your fenix 7s Solar in Garmin Express."

I have updated it via Garmin Express and everything there says it is up to date with software version 11.32.

How do I fix this?

Right now, the minimum firmware for CIQ apps (including Spotfiy) on Fenix 7S is 14.31. As per the Fenix 7 forum, 14.68 is the latest release firmware.

Instead of using Garmin Express, try updating from your watch.

1) Set up wi-fi on your watch. Not strictly necessary, but it will be a lot faster

2) From the watchface, hold UP for settings, select System > Software Update > Check for Updates

I just tried this, it says the software is up to date. Is there another way to install the latest version more manually?

You would need a copy of the Fenix 7S firmware update file for 14.31 or higher, which I'm not sure you can get through official channels. You can try asking on the Fenix 7 forum though.

Another possibility would be to join the beta program, but then you run the risk of getting a buggy beta.

Do you have the "Update Available" item in the same place where the "Check for Updates" item is located? If so then select it - the device will be restarted and the latest firmware will be applied
