No "settings" menu in garmin express for my side loaded widget.

I have my widget working fine in eclipse + simulator with loaded settings in the "App settings editor" but if I sideload the app on to my watch I get no options to input my settings in garmin express (or connect on the phone).

Odd they don't make that clear in the dev docs, thanks for the help.
