GDVC 2023

Does anyone know if the GDVC will be held in 2023? In the last years it was always in October. But currently there is no announcement yet, neither for personal participation, nor for virtual.

Actually, the first 3 years it was in April and was "in person" in Olathe. The last 3 years were virtual (due to covid) and in October.

In both cases they were announced before hand. In 2022…

In both cases they were announced before hand. In 2022 it was first announced in the summer if I recall. I'm not expecting anything in 2023 - maybe early 2024?

2022 was announced in the first half of August. Based on the 2021 and 2022 schedules it would have been this week. Since that did not happen, I would hope that something in early 2024. Perhaps back to April again.

Does anyone have any *confirmed* information and/or intel? I agree it seems incredibly unlikely there will be an in-person event in 2023 and somewhat unlikely there will be a virtual event in 2023. It doesn't look like the annual ANT Symposium took place this year either. I had heard that Garmin was thinking of combining the two event, which probably makes sense given the amount of potential crossover.

But it would be nice to know if I should keep my April (traditional Connect IQ timeframe) or September/October (ANT+ and GDVC timeframe) open in 2024.

Until AphaMonkey comes out with an announcement, all we can do is speculate. I am right there with you and would love to get an idea on when would be the best time to plan a hole in the work calendar to attend an event. I am ready to meet and greet my fellow devs.

Well, yes and no. I asked about confirmed intel because sometimes info is leaked (accidentally or casually) when talking to support or a developer friend or sales or a partner company.
