loadResource Out Of Memory Error Details: Failed invoking <symbol>

Hi, I was loading drawables with the code below.

var bgBitmap = Ui.loadResource(Rez.Drawbles.bg);

The peak mem used is 43kB but in which case I got an OOM error. Curious about why?

Device: fr245(m) (CIQ 3.3.1)

SDK: 6.3.0

Is it a CIQ 4 device with the graphics pool? Which device? In that case the graphics pool may be out of memory while your app still has memory.

Peek info you see is BEFORE calling function, maybe Rez.Drawbles.bg is e.g. 60kB.

How big is the image? Lots of colors?

I have compressed them. 3 Images' total size is less than 18kB

I saw the image 'template_default' has no size. But the total of Drawables is 60B

make test

0. exit sim

1. define global var tstBMP and load into it bitmap

2. go to compiler.json in ...\Roaming\Garmin\ConnectIQ\Devices\fr245m (windows)

3. add 100kb memory, modify line

4. run app in sim, run memory monitor and check in globals size of tstBMP

5. look into peek

Incredible! The size becomes 60kB after being loaded!

well... and probably you have 2 bitmaps in memory for some times due to peek +~60kB
