Anyone have a fenix7s for a quick test?

In the sim, FONT_NUMBER_MEDIUM has a height of 68 for the f7s - dc.getFontHeight(Graphics.FONT_NUMBER_MEDIUM), but I suspect it's different on the actual device.

Could someone with an f7s add a couple lines of code to one of their apps, sideload it, and tell me what the height is there?

I don't have f7s but have f7. Will this help you?

Hi Jim,

I have a Fenix 7s solar and did that test.
As you said, the sim shows 68, the real watch shows 67.
But the height is not really 67, it's something about 38 or 40

With Number fonts it's very common that the height includes the white space above and below the character. Here's a screen from one of my test apps. where the lines above and below show the white space included on the f7s

On some devices, like the fenix5 there is no white space. One of the things that make supporting a bunch of devices a bit interesting

Maybe make a quick app we could load on our respective watches that will tell us the heights for the various fonts, then we'll have them here for reference. Have you noticed any cases of differences between the simulator and the real thing?

I've had such an app for many years that I can run in the sim or sideload. I not only display all the native fonts but also things like what's available in other things like sensor history, if there's a compass, baro altimeter, tones and vibrations, etc
