Planned Maintenance?

The last two times I have attempted to upload a revision to my app I have been baulked at developer.garmin.com with:

If these are indeed "planned", then is the schedule published?

I appreciate that I'm working in a different timezone, but it's noon here (UTC+10) and my release process is being impacted.

Being planned doesn’t mean the schedule has to be publicized.

Garmin doesn’t publish the schedule.

Is this right after you uploaded an iq file? There's been an issue for some time where with a large iq file, you see the message even if the uploaded worked fine. I've seen this with an iq file that's about 16mb

Yes, that appears to be exactly what has happened.

The new version of the app is indeed now in the app store but, the upload process failed with the "Planned Maintenance" termination before it offered the option to update the metadata, including the "What's New" section.

So now the app is in the app store with the old "What's New".

And yes, the .iq file is big - 50 mb but it has been over 40 mb for 12 months during which time I have performed four updates. I did encounter this "Planned Maintenance" interruption three weeks ago when releasing my major upgrade (Version 4.3 to 4.4). At that time I took it at face value and retried successfully some hours later.

On this occasion I was releasing a minor bug-fix (4.4.2).

The file is big because amongst the 70 different watch models supported, I have supporting bitmaps for eight different screen resolutions, and for each of these I have 64 x 16kB bitmap files to implement a smoothly rotating compass rose

This is all necessary because there's no bitmap the SDK to rotate a bitmap.

Status "Acknowledged", but no job ticket, so a known bug but no rectification in the pipeline?

And no work-around.

the only work-around I've found is to load again the app when you get the error message then "edit details", everytime I do that I see the "2 hours" banner before editing the appn which mean the update was done despite the "planned maintenance" page.
