Update the sdk from 4.1.3 to 6.2.2 equals dc problems

equals mismatched input 'as' expecting {'.', ';'}

Correct. If you wish to continue to use module aliases, you can't use import. In your case, if you continue to use using Toybox.Graphics as Gc, instead of typing Dc, you have to type Gc.Dc.

What's changed in later compilers is that the module prefix for types is now mandatory unless you use import.

For example, if you use using Toybox.Lang, then instead of typing Number, you have to type Lang.Number. Switching to import Toybox.Lang solves that problem (you can type Number again), but then you can't use a module alias for Lang.

After these changes I saved my project. But it seems, that I missed a lot. New errors...

  indiCol=getProperty("iC");

in the app.mc equals

$.Toybox.Application.AppBase.getProperty' is deprecated.

Is there a trick for changes in the sdk versions, that it make the nessecary changes in the code automatic? A script or so.

Followed by 300 lines of different kind of errors like:

(Garmin opted to make typechecking the default behavior, I'd wish they would autodetect existing projects as no type checking implemented (eg when there are no import statements) but unfortunately they didn't implement this intelligence in the compiler.)

Cannot find symbol ':FT_rain' on type '$.Rez.Fonts'.

and

does with the newer SDKs something happen with the globals in OnUpdate?

The id for your font is id="FT_rain"?  Are you sure you are using the correct resource file?

I read that here in the forum. Insert symbols via font. And it does not matter, because the "real" fonts got the same problem.

For me it is frustrating, because I just wanted to add newer models and some smaller changes. I have to spent now a lot of time. And I am not a pro. But the changes need much more time than the stuff I wanted to do…
