I update the sdkmanager and Windows 10 defender tells me that there is a virus in the exe.
file: connectiq-sdk-manager-windows\sdkmanager.exe
Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml
Is this real or false alarm ?

We did not see this issue during testing—I'll be curious to see whether anyone else encounters this.
I didn't last time I updated the sdkmanager. I use McAfee. But I seem to recall that maybe a year or two back there was a virus warning where Garmin IT had to contact McAfee. Until that happened I had to add the sdkmanager.wxw to an exclude list for McAfee..
I also encountered this problem. Defender finds the exe in the windows/sdk-manager a virus (bearfoos).
Is there a way to download a previous version of the sdk?
I did not have this with 6.2.1 and before.
I like to hear from Garmin if this is a treath.
did you use the same version of the sdkmanager with 6.2.1? The current version is 1.0.5 and it came out about the same time as 6.2.1.
With 6.2.2 came also a new sdkmanager.exe.
This new exe has a virus according to defender.
for some reason I didn't get the 1.0.6 update automatically, but I downloaded it. When I run it for the first time, I get a message from defender. but by clicking "more", I can select "run anyway". After that it runs with no warnings.
I really really doubt that the garmin folks have a virus in it, because, as I said I saw something similar a couple years back and it was a false positive. This is probably the fix for the sdkmanager crashing/vanishing when a new sdk is downloaded that happened with 1.0.5. Brandon (he's Garmin) said they haven't seen it, but I doubt you'll hear anything from him before Monday, Kansas time.
Brandon.ConnectIQ Here's how I reproduced this (win11). Pulled down the 1.0.6 zip files, extracted it to a new directory and manually ran sdkmanager.exe. I only saw the message once, and after "run anyway", it now runs with no message.
If I unzip the sdk file, defender moves the executable away to a quarantaine directory.
I cannot start the program. It is gone before I know it ;-)
I will wait, no big deal.
