Read files on host phone through GCM with makeWebRequest ?

I understand that makeWebRequest() uses goes through Garmin Connect Mobile to send requests out to the internet

I'd like my watch app to be able to read the contents of a file on the phone that Garmin Connect Mobile is running on, if that file exists.

Can that be done through Garmin Connect Mobile, and if so, can you provide some specifics to get me going ?

You need to run something on your phone at serves the files and then use localhost/127.0.0.1 in the makeWebRequest
