How to reset(clear) "Application storage memory" in Sim

Idk why there seemingly isn't a way to do this from the sim UI, but:

1) Open the simulator folder.

Windows: %TEMP%\GARMIN

Mac: $TMPDIR/com.garmin.connectiq/GARMIN

2) Navigate to the app data folder: APPS/DATA

3) Delete all the .DAT and .IDX files in this folder, which have the same filename (sans extension) as the corresponding app

e.g. Suppose you have an app named AWESOMEAPP.PRG. The corresponding app storage files will be:

AWESOMEAPP.IDX

AWESOMEAPP.DAT

There's actually a 3rd file. a .IMT you get when you close an app

It would be nice if that were actually the case. I found these files, deleted them. However, the next time the application was launched, these files were created again and turned out to be already filled with some data (the same ones that were in the deleted file). But I save this data later. These are geographic coordinates (become available when starting an activity in Sim) and weather data (requested from the Internet if geographic coordinates are available)
For example, when  start VA3 - no data.
And when  start VA3M, the data is filled in from nowhere.

Are you using Application.Storage getValue/setValue or Application.getApp() getProperty()/setProperty (with no property key in the xml)?  With getProperty/setProperty, you may see a .STR file (the old object store)
