I'm testing my TEMPE sensor by placing my EDGE 1030 next to my TEMPE sensor, outside, in the fridge, in the freezer.
I've seen a few instances in which after about 25 minutes, the TEMPE sensor stops sending Page 1 ANT pages, so while the DEVICE temp is adjusting to ambient, the TEMPE sensor stops sending data. I need to test it further to see if there are any onMessages being sent or if it is just not sending new temp data, or the Page 1 data reports an invalid temp. But I'm curious if anyone knows if the TEMPE sensor detects no movement and stops transmitting after some time, to save battery maybe?
Also, if that is the case, should I send it a request for a page, rather than just wait for the once-a-minute updates it pushes? I've never built code to ask for an ANT device to send a page... is that pretty straightforward?
