How to select "Current Project" in Visual Studio Code?

I'm very new to Visual Studio Code. I hope this question is put at the correct place.

I have made a Datafield for Garmin Watches. This works fine. (Backyard Estimate) I converted it from an app I made for my Suunto Watch.

I then made another test project, which I haven't published in Connect IQ.

Now, I need to update the initial project, but whatever I do, the Visual Studio Code compiler only compiles the test project. I have even tried making another test project, but all I'm allowed to compile is the test project.

What am I doing wrong?

The Explorer in Visual Studio Code shows a tree view with my workspace at root, and the projects listed under that. The test project is colored red, I guess because it's the selected or current project. I have tried to right-click the other projects to choose "Build Current Project", but still, the test project is built, not the one I'm clicking. I want my original project to be set as Current Project.

Any Ideas?

Open / switch to a file in the project you want to build (or perform other actions on). In the case of CIQ, it would probably be best to open an .MC file.

Red means a project / folder / file has errors.

You can also select a project to run in the sim without opening an mc file like this:

For example if I select "Run App (SimLeanS5)". I can then run it in the sim by using the "Run" Menu and select with or without Debugging. Yo'll be given a list of devices each time you do a run.

Thanks a lot, but I must have done something strange... :-) I don't see the Run option for anything but the project I don't want to run...

I want to run and build the BackyardEstimate, not the BackyardEstimateMini...

Have I removed some config which may be reconfigured?

Thanks a lot for the reply and suggestion. If I double-click the BackyardEstimateApp.mc file, and then Right-Click the same file and press "Build Current Project", it seems to be compiled well, and the correct files turnes yellow, but when I press Ctrl F5, the BackyardEstimateMini code is launced in the simulator.

Really sorry for asking these stupid questions...

Notice at the bottom of the list you can do "add config(complexDataFieldSteinhartText" Do that and it will be in upper list and you can do as I indicated.

Jim: Thanks a lot for helping me out of the "Black hole"! :-) I'm not really sure what this actually did, and what's the difference between running with or without opening the mc file. When using the "add config", a new file was generated (launch.json). I haven't made any changes to that, but it seems to be working fine. Thank you so much, and sorry for late reply.
